So.....as I type this post...Maddy is on a bus headed to Outdoor School. Let me just say...if you have a child who will be entering the 6th grade anytime soon...you might want to start packing NOW!!! It turned out to be quite a process. We had to label EVERYTHING. I had been worried that we didn't pack enough stuff to keep her warm since they will be sleeping in Adirondaks (which are 3 sided cabins), but then when I dropped her off this morning there were some kids with a backpack and a sleeping bag!! BRRRRRR!!! The weather will hopefully cooperate with the exception of tomorrow....it's supposed to be NASTY, but I'm trying not to worry about it. I keep telling myself she'll have a great time and create memories that she'll remember forever. So....off she goes....camping for 5 days......I miss her already..

I waited outside!!! HA HA HA!!! I had to watch her load the bus!!! I had to wave goodbye...and blow kisses!! She's mortified....I'm sure of it!!

You are a brave mama! I have a hard time letting my kid go across the street to kindergarten for three hours! I can't imagine letting them sleep over somewhere for five days! Oh my!! But Maddy will do great and have a blast! I can't wait to hear all about it when she gets back!
Wow! 5 days?? Our kids are just going overnight up to Suttle lake and staying in cabins!! I'm sure she'll do great. I can't believe how grown up she looks with her shades sitting on top of her hair like that.
